  • International Trade Expatriate Nurturing Programme for ASEAN 3P Community on the basis of Local Language and Culture

Purpose of the Program

  • Carry out three core strategies; Peace, People, Prosperity in ASEAN countries
  • Nurture international trade expatriate to contribute on development and mutual prosperity between Korea and ASEAN

Features of the Program

  • Strengthen students' capabilities linked with regional, internal and external organizations; Daegu-Gyeongbuk International Exchange Association, Korea International Trade Association (Daegu & Gyeongbuk Center), Daegu Chamber of Commerce and Industry, Daegu Technopark, Korea Trade-Investment Promotion Agency in Daegu & Gyeongbuk, Glocal Trade Expert Incubating Program Team, ACUCA and etc.

Introduce the program

Program Overview

  • For Inbound Students
    • Korean Language and Culture Learning Program: Students from the Department of Teaching Korean as a Foreign Language provide Inbound Students with an opportunity to learn basic Korean and culture.
    • Internship Program: Provide work opportunities to gain its experience in Korea, helping them learn about Korean corporate culture
    • Develop customized curriculum for inbound students
    • Guide and Recommend to take 12~15 credits
  • Inbound & Outbound Students Joint Program
    • Buddy Program: Match Inbound & Outbound students to participate together in various program and events, fostering rapport and providing academic and daily life support.
    • Provide customized field trip programs in areas such as language & Culture, International commerce and Hospitality & Tourism, where both Inbound & Outbound students can participate.
    • Offer opportunities for Inbound & Outbound students to engage in various volunteer programs, fostering community understanding and a sense of belonging.

Program Activities History

  • For Inbound Students
    • Korean Language and Culture Learning Program
    • Internship Program provided at the International Lounge in Keimyung University.
  • Inbound & Outbound Students Joint Program
    • Exchange and Farewell events for Inbound & Outbound Students
    • Experience Hanbok (traditional apparel in Korea) and tea ceremonies through visits to the Korea Traditional Culture Experience Center, and explore Korean cultural heritage and history by visiting cities like Gyeongju, Andong, and Mungyeong.
    • Visit trade and international commerce-related companies in Korea, such as the Korea International Trade Association in Daegu, Daegu Regional Customs, Samsung Smart City, Ulsan Hyundai Motor Factory, and participate in related exhibitions, in collaboration with local institutions and partner companies, including GTEP and the Smart Economy and departments related to international commerce.
    • Field trips in the tourism and hospitality sector, including visits to the Water Sports Center and a soccer academy, in collaboration with Department of Sports Marketing.
